Why have a Doula ?
Having a birth advocate or Doula during your pregnancy has been proven to reduce the chances of C-section and increase overall satisfaction of your birth experience. Doulas offer unbiased support that centers the mother and baby without projecting their own feelings or desires. Having a Doula can act as an extra set of eyes in the delivery room.
Having a postpartum doula after your pregnancy can make the transition into parenthood smoother for first time parents and provide additional support for those with children. Postpartum Doulas can help with creating schedules, meal preparation, baby care, and general lactation support. Postpartum Doulas can also help detect postpartum mood disorders and help parents navigate the mental health care system and gain access to resources.
